Promobot and Exoatlet, participants of Robotics Expo, are among the top 15 most promising startups of Russia
According to federal competition GenerationS, promo robot Promobot developed by researchers of Perm Technical University and specialists of small innovative enterprises “Intelligence” is among the top 15 most promising start-ups of Russia. Results of the competition are published on the official website of GenerationS.
You will have an opportunity to see the robot on Robotics Expo to be held on 27-29 November.
Developers of the best 15 projects have got the opportunity to present their project to international jury at forum "Open Innovation" and compete for 5 million RUB.
For the first time Perm promo robot appeared in supermarket "Family". The robot is equipped with a mechanism for offering promotional materials and relevant speech module that means that it can independently respond to customer questions. In addition, robot remembers people and can greet them and chat. According to developer Oleg Kivokurtsev, this is Russia's first robot-promoter operating completely autonomously: all the operator has to do is to turn it on.
Developers of Russian exoskeleton Exoatlet also are in the list of top 15 most promising startups.
This project will also be presented at Robotics Expo 2014, and the founder and CEO of Exoatlet Ekaterina Bereziy will speak at Robotics Conference on: "Robotic exoskeleton and its field of application" – she will tell about development of her company and about other major types of developments such as:
- industrial exoskeleton;
- rescue exoskeleton;
- space exoskeleton;
- diving exoskeleton;
- sports exoskeleton;
- medical exoskeleton;
- biological prosthetics.
