The Chinese robot AI-MATHS will go to college
Or, rather, it’ll try.
The robot will participate in gaokao – a Chinese equivalent to the Russian unified state exam which will be held on July 7. The main target of AI-MATHS is to get maximum 100 points in mathematics. In such a way, the robot’s developer AI Chengdu Zhunxingyunxue Technology wants to test its capabilities and understand what else needs to be improved.
AI Chengdu Zhunxingyunxue Technology has worked on the AI-MATHS algorithm for the last few years. It predicts that by 2020 the robot will have become smart enough to easily get necessary points for entering any university in the world. But it still has a lot of things to learn. Participation in gaokao 2017 is one of the steps towards achieving the goal.
By the way, it’s not the first time when AI-MATHS is taking an exam. In February it took a similar test in mathematics and got 93 out of 100 points.
