Int-Ball to help ISS astronauts
The Int-Ball robot has joined the ISS crew. It is a middle-sized sphere that performs several simple tasks: takes photos of the equipment and sends them to Earth. Int-Ball saves the working time of astronauts as taking photos of ISS objects is their important daily responsibility.
Int-Ball was created at the Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency. The robot is automatic but can be controlled manually. All photos are sent to Earth in real-time mode, which allows engineers assess the space equipment remotely.
